Here it is—my most intricate project to date: the Allsopp’s Original India Pale Ale racetrack label, inspired by their original 1822 recipe! This beautifully reimagined piece, revived by the talented Alec Tear, has found a perfect home in this vintage oval mirror, which I stumbled upon on Etsy, serendipitously matching the label’s exact dimensions.
With vinyl masks for the delicate oval rings and base coat, and a carefully mapped pounce pattern, I spent 3 intense days hand-painting the lettering. The stippled detail on the hand was a real test of patience, but the result speaks for itself! Watch me paint it here
